Leaker Says Leon Appears Twice in Resident Evil Requiem’s First Trailer

A notable leaker claims Leon Kennedy shows up in two small ways in the first RE9 trailer and suggests most players may spend more time playing as him.

A prominent leaker says Leon Kennedy briefly appears in the Resident Evil Requiem first trailer, and that matters because Leon’s presence could shift how much of the game is played as him versus Grace. Capcom has not confirmed Leon’s inclusion. One well-known source has repeatedly claimed Leon is the game’s second playable character. Now, the same leaker claims Leon makes two tiny appearances in the debut trailer that are easy to miss on first watch.

The leaker, posting under DuskGolem, shared the details on X, noting that both appearances are minor and will become clearer when fans look back. DuskGolem also mentioned that, given the game’s structure, most players will likely spend more time playing as Leon than as Grace.

Leon is in the first trailer, in two small ways, but they're minor and be more obvious when looking back.
While this is subjective, I believe with how the game is structured that more of the game will be played as Leon by most players from how I understand it.

DuskGolem added that removing Leon at this late stage would be unlikely. It would require significant internal debate, approvals, and budget reallocations, and would probably cost millions if Capcom tried to cut him now. The comments arrive after the RE9 director called Leon “a bad match for horror“, and alongside reports that the game’s bosses will require players to use their wits.
