A prominent LEGO leaker posted images and details saying a LEGO set modeled on the original PlayStation console will arrive in December 2026 and include at least a console and a controller.
The leak appears on an Instagram post by user lego_minecraft_goat, which labels the project “LEGO Codename P or Play.” The post describes the set as a replica of the mid-1990s PlayStation rather than the later smaller redesign, lists an item code of 72306, and gives a piece count of 1,911. The post also attaches a suggested retail price of $159.99 and a release month of December 2026. The report was picked up on social platforms and credited to brickleaks_ on TikTok for spotting the Instagram entry.

Fan interest in a PlayStation build is not new. A LEGO IDEAS submission from June 2025 showed an 885-piece fan-made model of the classic PlayStation that included two wired controllers and two memory cards; that entry had gathered 5,338 supporters at the time the leak was circulated. The leaked retail project would be noticeably larger than that fan build if the 1,911-piece count is accurate.
The leak also notes the set will focus on the original console hardware and accessories rather than the smaller PS one–style redesign. If the pricing and piece count hold, the set would follow the scale and price pattern LEGO used for the Game Boy set released in late 2025, which retailed for about $59.99. If the December 2026 timing proves correct, this would place the set on shelves in the holiday shopping season.
