Leaked Bethesda Games Roadmap, Unannounced Titles and Remasters

Fans worldwide received an unexpected treat when a court document leak provided a sneak peek into Bethesda’s plans from 2020 onwards. The document, part of an internal Microsoft presentation from July 2020, outlines the roadmap for Bethesda’s game releases up to the end of the 2024 financial year. While it’s exciting to see anticipated releases like “Starfield,” “Redfall,” and “Ghostwire: Tokyo,” what truly delights fans are the yet-to-be-announced projects and some expected remasters.

Prominent among the unannounced titles include:

  • Doom Year Zero
  • Dishonored 3
  • Sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo
  • Remasters of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Fallout 3

It’s essential to approach this list with a touch of caution. The roadmap was crafted before the global COVID-19 pandemic, which has undeniably affected AAA game development timelines. Thus, the actual release dates may stretch beyond what the document initially intended. For instance, “Starfield” was projected for a June 2021 release but was delayed by at least two years.

Moreover, game development is a fluid process. Some titles from this 2020 list might never see the light of day, given potential changes in design direction, budgetary constraints, or other unforeseen challenges.

While this leak offers a treasure trove of information, it’s a mix of exhilaration and speculation. Until Bethesda confirms these titles, fans must revel in the thrill of what might be on the horizon. One thing is sure: if even a fraction of this list comes to life, Bethesda has an impressive and exciting lineup in store for gamers worldwide.
