If you enjoy survival games with a bit of quirky charm, DUCKSIDE is about to offer an open playtest on Xbox Series X|S from July 24 to July 28. This test invites players to jump into a world where combat-trained ducks battle for dominance using weapons, crafting, and base building. It’s a chance to try out the game’s mix of PvP, PvE, and raids before it officially releases.
In DUCKSIDE, you take on the role of a duck who’s not just waddling around, these ducks wear hats and wield weapons while defending their bases and attacking others. The goal is to upgrade your base to survive enemy raids, engage in intense battles on land and in the air, and complete missions to gather loot. It’s a persistent world, so your progress carries over as you try to become the toughest duck in the archipelago.
Playtest Details
- Start: Thursday, July 24, 8am PT (11am ET / 5pm CEST)
- End: Monday, July 28, 8am PT (11am ET / 5pm CEST)
How to Join
- Sign in on your Xbox Series X|S console and open the Xbox Insider Hub app. If you don’t have it, you’ll need to download it from the Microsoft Store first.
- Go to Previews and find DUCKSIDE (Closed Beta).
- Select Join.
- Once your registration completes, you’ll be directed to the Store to install the playtest version of DUCKSIDE.
Note: Space in the playtest is limited and works on a first-come, first-served basis. Also, this test is exclusive to Xbox Series X|S, so it won’t be available on other Xbox models.
Reporting Issues and Feedback
If you encounter any issues during the playtest, you can report them directly through your Xbox console. Hold down the home button on your controller, select Report a problem, then choose the Games category and DUCKSIDE subcategory. Completing the form will help developers track and resolve any issues.
