iRacing has rolled out a hotfix update for the 2025 Season 3 Patch 3, addressing some pressing issues that arose after the last release. This patch is all about fixing bugs that could seriously disrupt your racing sessions, so it’s worth a quick look before you hit the track again.
First, the much-annoying CPU usage alert has been tweaked. Previously, it appeared whenever the CPU reached a high usage level, which became somewhat spammy. Now, it will only trigger if there’s an active network alert and the CPU is actually in the red zone on the system meter. That should reduce false alarms and allow you to focus more on your laps instead of your system stats.
Then there’s the issue with the Moza 360 Hz wheels and their LFE (Low-Frequency Effects). iRacing has temporarily disabled these features due to a critical bug that causes the simulator to crash after approximately two hours of continuous play. They’re working closely with Moza developers to finalize a fix, which will be included in a future patch. This one’s a bummer if you rely on those wheels for your setup, but crashing mid-race? Yikes.
On the car front, the Ferrari 296 GT3 got a small cleanup job, with some outdated development code removed. Nothing flashy, but it’s good to see the devs keeping things tidy under the hood.
- Graphics: The high CPU usage alert now only shows if there’s an active network alert and the CPU alert level is high (red).
- Controls: Moza 360 Hz and Wheel LFE effects have been temporarily disabled due to a crash issue being investigated with Moza developers.
- Cars – Ferrari 296 GT3: Removed defunct development code.
