Fortnite’s Star Wars mini-season just got a lot cooler with the arrival of the Purple Lightsaber, and trust me, it’s causing quite the talk! If you’ve been hunting for this legendary weapon, here’s the lowdown on how to get your hands on it and why it’s not as straightforward as you might think.
Where to Find the Purple Lightsaber
The Purple Lightsaber is tied to the Mace Windu hologram that randomly appears on the map. But here’s the catch: the hologram’s location and timing are random, so you’ll need some luck.
Four holograms can pop up: Mace Windu, Rey, Emperor Palpatine, and Darth Maul. The map marks Rey and Windu with blue icons, while Palpatine and Maul appear red. If you spot a blue marker, check it out! If it’s Rey, and you only want the Purple Lightsaber, don’t interact because you can only carry one Lightsaber at a time.
When you find the Mace Windu hologram, interact with it to grab the Purple Lightsaber and the Force Pull ability. This move pulls in nearby objects and enemies, making it a fantastic combo with your Lightsaber melee attacks. I tried it out, and wow, pulling enemies closer and then swinging away is super satisfying!
Sadly, no. The Purple Lightsaber isn’t available for purchase from NPCs or in the Item Shop as a Pickaxe. This absence has left many players scratching, mainly since the Battle Pass features a Jedi/Sith skin for Evie that doesn’t come with a Lightsaber. It’s a bit of a bummer, and anyone guesses that Epic Games will add Lightsaber Pickaxes before the season ends.
