Bungie’s Marathon is holding a Server Slam playtest to exercise servers ahead of launch and viewers can earn Twitch Drops while watching Drops-enabled streams. The playtest runs through March 2 and offers five distinct rewards that together require a maximum of four hours of watch time.
What the Twitch Drops are and how much watch time they need
Most items are cosmetics. One Drop is a small starter bundle called the Twitch Sponsored Kit. The full set of rewards and their required watch times are listed below.
| Twitch Drops Rewards | Required Watch Time |
|---|---|
| Twitch Sponsored Kit (a bundle of in-game gear) | 1 Hour |
| SMILEYworm Profile Emblem | 1 Hour |
| WEAVEworm Profile Background | 2 Hours |
| GLOWworm Weapon Sticker | 3 Hours |
| HMG Twitch Engine Weapon Skin | 4 Hours |
Viewers have until the Server Slam ends on March 2 to reach the listed watch milestones and claim the Drops. The Sponsored Kit is intended to help new Runners get started when they load Marathon for the first time.
How to link accounts and claim your Drops
Watch time will only be credited if a Bungie.net account is linked to Twitch before watching. Follow these steps to connect accounts and claim rewards.
- Create a Bungie.net account if one is not already active.
- Sign in to Bungie.net and open Settings then Account Linking.
- Choose the option to link Twitch and complete the authorization.
- Watch any Drops-enabled stream during the Server Slam playtest until the required watch-time milestone is reached.
- Claim earned Drops from the Twitch inventory after a milestone is met.
For a separate guide on claiming platform charms and related rewards see the guide to claim Marathon Twitch drops, and for the test timing and rollout by region see the piece that explains when the Server Slam test starts. If the account connection is not in place before watching then watch time will not count. After qualifying watch time is reached, use the Twitch inventory to retrieve each reward.
