The Flickering Threat quest in Arc Raiders is mostly a location puzzle wrapped in a cautionary tale about bad timing. The objective is straightforward: find the Generator Room, fix the generator, then power a Ventilation Shaft. The tricky part is getting there without a Rocketeer turning the run into an explosive surprise. Four wires to repair the generator. Players can bring them in or salvage nearby items to craft them if needed. Bring them into a safe inventory slot to avoid losing progress when things go sideways.
Find the Generator Room and repair the generator
The Generator Room sits in the Generator Hall in the northeast of Dam Battlegrounds, next to the Power Generation Complex. To reach it from the North Complex Elevator extraction do the following steps:
- Head southwest from the North Complex Elevator extraction to find an open trench you can drop into to land on a walkway.
- Drop down to the room below and move to the centre area between the two big generators.
- Look for the yellow marked repair point between the generators and interact using your four wires to repair it.
Watch for a patrolling Rocketeer in this area. He will target players standing around with their heads in a map. Move fast and use cover when the patrol gets close.
Find the Ventilation Shaft and enable the power
After repairing the generator a new objective will appear to enable the Ventilation Shaft power. The route is compact and follows this path:
- From the Generator Hall, go through the door in the southwest corner of the room.
- Go up the stairs and open the next door at the top.
- Turn left, then open the door at the end of the corridor to enter the Ventilation Shaft.
- Interact with the yellow marked power switch box in the corner to power the shaft and complete the quest.
