Looting is the whole point of an ARC Raiders run, and the Safe Pocket is the one thing that stops you from walking away empty-handed when things go wrong. The Safe Pocket is a special inventory slot that protects one item from being lost if you die or get robbed topside. You usually only start with a single slot, so deciding what to protect becomes its own little panic moment every run.
How to get more Safe Pockets
The shortcut is simple – go see the Trader Lance at the clinic in Speranza. He sometimes sells the Looting MK. 2 Augment. That augment does two things: it increases your Backpack space and it adds one extra Safe Pocket slot, giving you two total.
Price and requirements:
- Cost – 6,000 Coins
- Requirement – Raider Level 7 to buy from Lance
- Availability – rare and sold periodically, usually single stock when it appears
If you don’t find one for sale, you can craft the augment at a Gear Bench in your workshop. The Gear Bench costs 25 plastic parts and 30 fabric to build, and once it’s up you can craft augments instead of waiting for Lance to restock.
Practical tips
Choose carefully what you stash in Safe Pockets. Prioritize rare trinkets or quest items you wouldn’t want to go back topside for. Augments themselves can be lost while topside, so treat the Looting MK. 2 like a limited resource.
