One of the key aspects of Diablo 4’s Season One is the inclusion of Malignant Hearts, new items that can be socketed into your gear to bolster your character’s strength. The most powerful variant, the Wrathful Malignant Invoker, is a sought-after item, though it’s notoriously challenging to get your hands on.
What is the Wrathful Malignant Invoker?
The Wrathful Malignant Invoker is a high-tier Malignant Heart in Diablo 4 that can be socketed into any color slot in your jewelry, significantly boosting any character build. You may have encountered the Wrathful Malignant Outgrowth in the Malignant Tunnels, but to activate these, you need the Wrathful Malignant Invoker.
Crafting the Wrathful Malignant Invoker
While the Invokers of Vashran can easily be crafted, the only way to acquire the Wrathful Malignant Invoker (used for the events at the end of a tunnel) is by crafting it at Cormond’s Workbench, located south of Ked Bardu or in Kyovashad. After you’ve reached the workbench, navigate to the Crafted Cache submenu and find the “Uncertain Invoker” item. Check the image below for more info:
Once you get it in the inventory, you right-click and hope that you get one of them dropped on the ground. Check image below:
You need to craft this item with the hope of receiving a Wrathful Malignant Invoker. However, note that crafting the Uncertain Invoker does not guarantee a drop of the much-coveted Wrathful Malignant Invoker. The drop rate is random, and you may need to craft this item multiple times before you’re successful.
Farming for Malignant Ichor
You need Malignant Ichor – a crucial crafting component to craft the Uncertain Invoker. You can farm this material by participating in world events, focusing on those involving Malignant Growths, which drop more Ichor. Another farming option involves defeating Malignant enemies, which also have a chance of dropping Malignant Ichor. As such, Malignant Tunnels provide a productive farming environment.
Persistence Pays Off
The road to acquiring the Wrathful Malignant Invoker is not easy. It’s a process that relies heavily on RNG and may require multiple attempts at crafting the Uncertain Invoker. However, many players argue that the grind is worth the effort for the benefits it offers to your character build.
