Sony has officially announced the launch of pre-orders for the Horizon Forbidden West’s Burning Shores DLC, priced at $19.99/£15.99. The DLC, scheduled to release on April 19, will be exclusively available for PlayStation 5 users.
As part of the pre-order offering, customers will receive exclusive digital bonuses such as the Blacktide Dye Outfit, which can be acquired at the first dye merchant, and the Blacktide Sharpshot Bow, available from the first merchant encountered in the Burning Shores.
The Burning Shores DLC follows Aloy’s journey as she confronts a menacing threat in the untamed, volcanic landscape of a futuristic Los Angeles that has been devastated by intense tectonic activity. According to Guerrilla game director Mathijs de Jonge, the story takes off immediately following the conclusion of Horizon Forbidden West. Players must complete the main quest, including the final mission, Singularity, in order to access the Burning Shores content.
Upon completing Singularity, Aloy will receive a call via her Focus device, marking the beginning of the DLC. Players will then be able to explore an unstable new region located south of the Tenakth Clan Lands, where they will encounter a captivating new storyline featuring fresh characters, machines, and adventures.
