Hollow Knight Silksong system requirements updated ahead of launch

Team Cherry revised system requirements for Hollow Knight Silksong; specs rise slightly ahead of release.

Hollow Knight Silksong, developed by Team Cherry, has received an updated set of system requirements ahead of its confirmed release. The change matters because the specs are slightly more demanding, and they were announced very close to launch, so checking hardware now will save setup time.

The updated requirements are only slightly higher than those for the 2017 original, so most machines from the past decade should meet the entry-level specifications. Only the graphics and memory recommendations increase noticeably, and they remain within typical mid-range hardware. That means players upgrading for this release will rarely need the very top-tier components, and a mid-range rig often suffices.

The minimum specifications require an Intel Core i3-3240 or an AMD FX-4300, paired with 4GB of RAM. The recommended hardware includes an Intel Core i5-3470 and a GeForce GTX 1050 or Radeon R9 380, along with 8GB of system memory. You can find both the min and recommended PC system specs below:

Minimum Recommended
OS Windows 10 21H1 build 19043 or newer Windows 10 21H1 build 19043 or newer
GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti
AMD Radeon HD 7750
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050
AMD Radeon R9 380
VRAM 1GB 2GB
CPU Intel Core i3 3240
AMD FX 4300
Intel Core i5 3470
RAM 4GB 8GB
Storage 8GB 8GB

The download size is a modest 8GB, and Team Cherry does not list an SSD as required.
