Recent rumors pinpoint new possibilities regarding the Hitman Franchise. Basically, Microsoft’s bald moves of buying multiple big studios are still trending, which means that we’re about to discover something big. It appears that Microsoft thinks of acquiring IO Interactive, which is the developer of the Hitman franchise.

With that being said and today’s era in which everything mostly comes as an exclusive title especially on consoles. A new possibility has been leaked on Resetera.com. A well-known Microsoft leaker, Klobrille, whom past content has been recognized by its precise work, pinpoints a new acquisition is about to be made.

IO Interactive is not the only company in which Microsoft is interested. There are several more that can increase the profit the Company currently has, and together with them, the Xbox market may receive more Exclusive titles than it had before.

On the other side of the story, it may be a win-win situation for both of the companies. Suggesting, Microsoft will acquire IO Interactive, and by that will make the Hitman franchise Xbox One Exclusive, which will somewhat boost its future sales because, at the current moment, the game is not that successful in sales.

It should’ve been the complete opposite as per the depart of Square Enix, which made IO become free and keep all the rights to Hitman. Moreover, they also promised to enhance every coming Hitman title in literally every perspective because of the freedom and ability to make changes on their own in any moment, unlike before.
