After Hit and Miss with Anthem, BioWare wants to rebuild its reputation

It’s been a bumpy road for BioWare, the developer of the Mass Effect Series and Anthem, which was supposed to be one of the best online multiplayer action role-playing video game. Shortly after the launch, the game had to meet its stop, so any rumors regarding an upcoming Anthem 2.0 or Anthem Next were shut down. For that, BioWare’s General Manager Gary McKay is seeking a solution for a safe and effective rebuild of the company’s reputation.

While BioWare started walking on thin ice with the shutdown of Anthem, in May 2021, the company managed to gain momentum with the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. The company is eager to reclaim its glory and according to Gary McKay, it’s working hard to reach that particular level. Well, it would be a bumpy road on the way to winning the fans’ hearts and earning their trust once again.

So, how would this pan out for BioWare exactly and what should be done to satisfy the eagerness of fans around the world?

Well, it would definitely need a lot of encouragement at first, steps that Gary McKay had already taken with the recent blog post posted on BioWare’s official website. He also revealed how the pandemic has taken a swing on the development of their beloved titles but did not discourage them from keeping their single-player series close to their hearts.

According to Gary McKay:

And of course, we remain hard at work on the next iterations of Dragon Age and Mass Effect. I’m seeing some incredible work from both teams. If you’re curious about Mass Effect, I’d encourage you to take a look at the poster we released on N7 Day. If you look closely, there are a handful of hidden treats; by my count, there are at least five surprises, all of which point to an amazing future in the Mass Effect universe. As for Dragon Age, we have a veteran group of talented developers working on the next iteration of the franchise. We are focused on a single-player experience that is built on choices that matter.

To solidify their dedication on already existing single-player titles, he mentioned the recent poster by the Mass Effect Team, which openly claims that Mass Effect will continue.

We have another #N7Day surprise for you from the team working on the next Mass Effect. 👀

Thank you all for being the best fans in the world! pic.twitter.com/kUwASGJhcx

My job is similar to Angel's, focus on news and updates, even though most of my work is taking care of two little devils. I am here to cover when most needed, and try to deliver the best I can. It's my fault pushing Angel to reboot ConsolePCGaming.com Wish me luck <3.
