An eagle-eyed Twitter user recently unearthed information suggesting that High on Life, a first-person shooter by Squanch Games, is on its way to PlayStation consoles.
The evidence points to a PS4 version of High on Life hidden in the PlayStation backend. Orbis Patches made this discovery, a website tracking PlayStation 4 game updates. The patch they found specifically for High on Life included general bug fixes and improvements, fueling speculation about an imminent PS4 release.
Released in December 2022, High on Life was initially available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, launching on Game Pass for both consoles and PC on day one. The game, which pairs players with talking guns to thwart an alien cartel, made significant waves on its release, setting multiple engagement records. It even nabbed the title of the biggest third-party and single-player-only release on Microsoft’s subscription service.
Last month, Squanch Games CEO Mike Fridley announced an expansion for the game titled High on Knife. Set to veer into horror-comedy territory, this DLC is set two years after the main game and will introduce players to new characters. High on Knife is slated for a fall/autumn release on PC and Xbox consoles.
Adding to the PlayStation speculation, trophy lists for both PS5 and PS4 versions of High on Life have surfaced online:

- PS4: https://exophase.com/game/high-on-life-psn-2/trophies/
Although Squanch Games has yet to announce a PlayStation release for High on Life officially, these recent discoveries strongly suggest an imminent announcement. The PlayStation community eagerly awaits confirmation and the chance to dive into the comedic, alien-blasting action that has already captured the hearts of millions on other platforms.
