Are you ready to flex those skills in an epic showdown? Because I’m beyond excited to dive into the latest update for Halo Infinite, featuring the exhilarating 1v1 Showdown. This action-packed mode, debuting after some serious hype at HCS Salt Lake City and the upcoming Halo World Championship, is all about testing your mettle against other players. Let’s get into it!
1v1 Me, Bro
If you think you can take on fellow Spartans one-on-one, this is your moment! Each match is a best of five, where victory can be snatched through either getting 5 kills or capturing a zone. Pro tip: don’t sweat if round one doesn’t go your way, just breathe and jump back in! Trust me, it’s going to get intense.

You’ve gotta keep an eye on that capture timer because sneaky opponents will definitely try to snag a point right under your nose! Plus, both players will have identical randomized loadouts each round, which means primaries, secondaries, grenades, you name it! And hold onto your helmets because sometimes you’ll get a round modifier that changes things up completely! Think Damage Boosts or low gravity. Sounds fun, right?
Name the Place
If you’re experiencing déjà vu while playing, it’s not just you. The maps are mini versions of some fan favorites from across the Halo universe! Each round teleports you to different map slices to keep gameplay fresh and exciting. Here’s what we’re working with:
