Halo Infinite August 2021 Dev Update Reveals “Forge” and “Co-Op Campaign” Won’t Be Available at Launch

Halo Infinite, the upcoming first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries, is without a concrete release date. The only data we have on the release is Holiday 2021, which is not too far away. The developer 343 Industries has recently provided a new update on the development of Halo Infinite. Halo Infinite recently had a multiplayer technical test phase, where players could see what the game offers and acknowledge its multiplayer capabilities. 343 Industries is surely working on fixing all the issues found during the session.

In a recent Halo Infinite developer update video for August 2021, 343 Industries revealed that the tech preview was a substantial success for the company itself, as players have provided tons of support tickets plagued with issues and other stuff. Below you can find the official video posted by 343 Industries.

The developer commits and promises a large performance boost over the next couple of months, despite the game’s lack of core elements. The tech build was not as polished as the developer believed. 343 Industries found many inconsistencies, matchmaking failures and crashes, for which it helped them collect enormous data that will help them provide a lot of fixes.

At launch, Halo Infinite will skip on adding a co-op campaign. Halo Infinite will also miss the extraordinary Forge game mode that allowed players to tinker with already existing map assets. Hence, no custom maps will be available at launch.

Halo Infinite is slated to release in Holiday 2021 on Xbox and PC.
