Hades is coming to Nintendo Switch this Fall!

Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase on Tuesday brought many surprises to Indie Gamers around the world. One of the most notable was when Supergiant Games revealed their plans to bring the critically acclaimed Indie masterpiece Hades to the Switch this fall. It will also allow players to transfer their progress to the Switch through cross-save.

Hades (currently in early access) is an Indie Game that takes place in the Greek Underworld, which itself is inspired by Ancient Greek Mythology. The main protagonist, Zagreus, is the son of Lord Hades, the Greek God of the Underworld, trying to escape his father’s realm with the help of the other Greek Gods, which aid him in his battles and quest.

Hades is a roguelike, meaning players will maintain progress after each run. After every failed attempt to escape the Underworld, Zagreus is sent back to his father’s chamber in which he can purchase upgrades to increase the chances of escaping. Zagreus will fight against many mythical Greek monsters like the infamous Hydra but will also be boosted by the Olympian Gods like Zeus, Ares, Athena, etc.

Supergiant didn’t give a concrete date for Hades on Switch but announced plans to release it this fall. It’s currently unclear if or when Hades will come to other consoles.

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
