Supergiant Games is marking five years since Hades 1.0 with a hefty discount on Steam, a new anniversary music mix, and official merch offers. Price falls to $6.24/£5.24 through 25 September, a cheap way to try the original before Hades 2 launches later this month. Amid talk of the sequel, the original Hades is easier to pick up than ever. The release celebration includes new audio, fan gear, and a deep price cut aimed at welcoming more players into its roguelike loop.
Supergiant is also linking to official goods at Fangamer, where pins, plushies, and tees are on offer alongside the digital sale. A new “In the Blood” Anniversary mix has been shared, and a related clip is available on YouTube for anyone curious about the soundtrack additions.
“If you’ve been putting off a trip to the Underworld, Hades is having its biggest sale ever,” an official Steam blog post says. “Why not dive in again, either for the first time or for old time’s sake, and get set for Hades 2 next week; though, no prior experience is needed to enjoy the sequel!”
Current price sits at $6.24/£5.24, which reflects a 75% off cut from the usual fee. The sale ends 25 September, so interested players have a limited window to grab the deal before the sequel arrives. Supergiant closed its anniversary message with gratitude: “To everyone who played Hades, thank you for all the inspiration and support. We’re so grateful that Hades connected with so many players around the world. If you get a chance to play our next game, we hope you find it lives up! In the name of Hades!”
