The hacker who leaked major Grand Theft Auto VI material in previous years has suggested the game’s source code may already be in someone’s hands, but provided no proof. Posts shared on X by account videotechuk_ reproduce messages attributed to Arion Kurtaj in which he discussed the possibility that the GTA 6 source existed outside Rockstar’s control. The same account also posted an embedded tweet that includes additional screenshots and commentary from March 8, 2026. Both posts are the primary public evidence for the claim.

According to the screenshots circulated on X, Kurtaj said he had smuggled a phone into a UK prison and was communicating by Snapchat. In a quoted exchange, another person labeled Omar wrote that “GTA 6 is out somewhere too. ” Kurtaj replied “Definitely somewhere.” Omar added, “5 leaked, 6 not,” and Kurtaj concluded with “Interesting. No further comment on that matter.”
Those posts did not include technical proof such as file hashes, leaked repositories, or verifiable downloads. The messages should be treated with caution because the claims came from social posts and not from an authorized Rockstar source. Recent public leaks have already included developmental footage and alleged PlayStation database entries tied to GTA 6. The new social posts represent another unverified claim layered on top of those earlier disclosures. If Rockstar or law enforcement publish verifiable evidence about any source code compromise, that would provide a clear technical basis for further reporting.
