Gunsmith. Part 9 – Escape From Tarkov Guide

We’re still working for Mechanic, but Gunsmith – Part 9 is a total pivot compared to the older AK-focused steps you may remember. In the current version of the quest, Mechanic wants a pistol build built around the SIG P226R, with specific Stainless Elite parts, an extended magazine, and a flashlight/tactical device, while staying within strict ergonomics and recoil limits. Gunsmith – Part 9 Description

Oh, hey. There’s an unusual matter that has come up. I don’t often get orders for pistols, but this is a special occasion. We need a SIG P226R, Stainless Elite Wooden grip, Stainless Elite slide, extended magazine and a flashlight. Ergonomics not below 80, recoil sum not above 610. A weapon for true enthusiasts.

Requirements

• Must be level 19 to start this quest.
• Unlocks 21 hours after completing Gunsmith – Part 8.

P226R requirements

• Durability: 60
• Recoil sum: 610 or less
• Ergonomics: 80 or more
• P226 Stainless Elite pistol slide
• P226 Stainless Elite Wooden pistol grip
• P226 9×19 20-round extended magazine
• Any tactical device (flashlight/laser combo is fine)

Build Notes

• This build is based on a standard P226R from Peacekeeper LL1.
• The “tactical device” requirement is flexible – use whatever you have that still lets you hit 80+ ergonomics and 610 or less recoil.
