Rockstar has suddenly dusted off one of GTA Online’s rarest items, the yellow PLEASE STOP ME mask, returning it after more than 11 years and making it available during October’s weekly challenges. The mask hasn’t been seen in the game since May 2014, and players have a limited window to add it to their collections.
The return is tied to the game’s Halloween season offerings and arrives at a time when conversation about Grand Theft Auto 6 has players revisiting things they missed. GTA Online’s October 2 weekly update announced the Vinewood Undead Collection, a four-piece spooky-season wardrobe that includes the PLEASE STOP ME mask.
The mask is available if you complete the first three weeks of Weekly Challenges in GTA Online for October. The initial weekly challenge asks you to survive two Waves of Survival without dying, which also rewards the Brown Vintage Zombie Mask and $200,000 in-game cash. Additional weekly challenges will be released each Thursday for the rest of October.
Originally, the PLEASE STOP ME mask could only be obtained from crate drops and in Last Team Standing matches. The Vinewood Zombie t-shirt from the same collection has not been available since 2017, while the Slasher Clown Outfit is brand-new to the store this year. The mask itself is inspired by Rockstar’s earlier title Manhunt, and the return makes it one of the standout items of the Halloween drop.
Rockstar has not announced long-term plans for GTA Online once GTA 6 is released, and some players expect Online to be replaced or heavily changed when the next mainline entry arrives. If you missed the mask the first time around, this is your shot to snag one of the rarest cosmetics GTA Online has offered in over a decade.
