Ah, the sweet anticipation of a new Grand Theft Auto game! It’s like waiting for your favorite dish to finish cooking; you know it will be delicious, but the wait can feel eternal. With Rockstar Games having dropped that exciting first trailer for GTA 6 back in December 2023, gamers everywhere are excited and curious about one pressing question: when exactly will we get our hands on this masterpiece?
Millions Are Waiting
Following that exciting trailer reveal, which left us all gasping at its stunning visuals and intriguing hints, we had a rough idea that GTA 6 was set for a release in 2025. But as time ticks away, and I’m counting every second, Take-Two Interactive has been kind enough to refine that timeline further.

As of November 2024, we’re looking at a projected release window of Fall 2025. More specifically, October is the month to mark your calendars. If history serves us right, and let’s face it, it usually does, most major releases from Rockstar have graced us during this very same month.
Only two games in the entire franchise have strayed from this October tradition, including the infamous delays of both GTA V and IV. Fingers crossed, we won’t see any hiccups this time around!
