An account claiming to have exclusive GTA 6 footage turned into a social grenade this week after AI-generated clips amassed roughly 8 million views and then collapsed under scrutiny. The posts came from the Zap Actu GTA6 account, which hyped clips as leaks from Rockstars next Grand Theft Auto entry before users and investigators flagged the footage as machine-generated. The account later removed the videos and apologized, rebranding to Actuzz MAG as the backlash grew.
The situation drew wider attention after an IGN report and multiple social threads that warned fans to treat the uploads skeptically. Zap Actu GTA6 had posted messages such as “MASSIVE LEAK IMMINENT,” but then admitted the clips were generated and wrote, “I’m sorry if I raised false hopes for people; I admit I didn’t think things through properly.” In another message the account said, “For me it was more to amuse the community in reality, but oh well, it’s not working,” and later doubled down on AI-driven speculation with posts like “GTA 6: A Snow-Covered Vice City for Christmas 2026? A Winter DLC Fans Are Already Dreaming Of.” Those follow-ups kept fans furious instead of mollified.
Console PC Gaming previously ran coverage of the viral clip and its quick unmasking; the episode shows how convincing AI-generated gameplay can be and why verification matters before a clip goes viral. Our earlier report on the viral AI GTA 6 clip walks through how moderators and viewers identified signs the footage was not genuine. The incident highlights that convincing visuals plus social momentum equals rapid spread, and once that momentum exists, it invites angry pushback when the truth comes out. Some users warned others on X, but for many the damage was already done by the time the creator apologized and pulled the clips.
Rockstar has not been connected to the clips and has not commented on the accounts’ posts. The developer remains the sole confirmed source for any legitimate GTA 6 footage. The episode is a reminder that leaks floating on social media are not automatically authentic, even when they look polished.
