Manuel Grubby Schenkhuizen, former Warcraft 3 professional and streamer, has announced that he will take a break from Dota 2. Grubby said that this is due to the toxicity within the community, as it is the primary reason for his break.
So, Grubby, whose Dota 2 journey has been excellent, if my memory serves me well, managed to get to Immortal rank in approximately a year. His rise in the ranks showed his intelligence, and he treated every match as an opportunity to learn.
Grubby’s break from Dota 2 is an eye-opener for the whole Dota 2 community. I mean, it’s not strange that a MOBA (the genre that is most toxic atm), is having such an issue, but still, Dota 2 has grown in toxicity quite a lot. This is somewhat urgent, and it shows that Dota 2 players need to wake up and cut their toxic behavior as soon as possible.
In the meantime, we’ll watch Grubby stream Warcraft 3.
