Gray Zone Warfare’s Spearhead stream walked through the update’s biggest changes

MADFINGER Games used a launch day stream for Gray Zone Warfare to break down Update 0.4, Spearhead, and the team said the VOD also answered player questions and gave a behind-the-scenes look at release day.

The studio said the stream focused on feedback from the Supporter Preview and how it influenced the release, while also touching on the problems players were running into and when fixes could arrive.

Update 0.4: Spearhead brought a long list of changes, including a redesigned task system, more than 100 new Tasks and Contracts, 50+ updated tasks, and a total task count above 250. The update also added 25+ new locations, rebuilt existing spaces, expanded lore, eight new weapons, 380+ weapon parts, more than 150 gear pieces, AI improvements, a revamped loot system, a redesigned Tactical Map, reworked vendor stocks and economy, rebalanced ballistics, reworked movement animations, refactored sound design, a rebalanced health system, a new onboarding area and tutorial, a new Field Manual, new Player Statistics, HUD and control updates, visual polish, lighting work, and technical improvements.
