Gran Turismo Sport is a racing game developed by Polyphony Digital. At first, the game didn’t meet the player’s necessities but has slowly managed to traverse some of its small updates into a whole, more beautiful, and better approaching video game. With lots of updates deployed, the game has managed to gather a total lifetime player count of 9.5 million users.
In a recent interview with GTPlanet, Polyphony Digital’s boss Yamayuchi discovered the total lifetime number of players. Note that this number includes players since launch. It’s a quite impressive growth highlighted by the company.
As a result, we got 9.5 million users, but it didn’t sell explosively from the beginning, and it seemed that the understanding gradually progressed and the support increased over the three years.
