Ghost of Yotei from Sucker Punch Productions has officially gone gold, the studio said on August 28, 2025, ahead of its October 2 launch. That puts the game on track for release on PS5 with final masters presumably sent to manufacturing.
Ghost of Yotei Goes Gold – Quick facts
The studio shared the milestone via social media, flagging that the build is finished and ready for production. Sucker Punch’s announcement on X links to the post below and confirms the timeline the studio has been promoting.

The game will be sold in a standard edition for $69.99 and a Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99. Oh, the Digital Deluxe pack includes Snake Armor, a Sword Kit, early unlocked Traveler’s Maps, a Charm, a special armor dye, and a Digital Deluxe horse and saddle.
Going gold typically means the risk of a launch delay is low, although nothing is guaranteed once production and distribution begin. The studio’s timing ensures the October 2 date remains realistic for both retail and digital availability on day one.
Will it land on PC later? There’s no confirmation yet. Looking back at Ghost of Tsushima’s timeline, PlayStation releases sometimes show up on other platforms years later, so a port is possible but not certain, kinda a wait-and-see situation for now.
Any other solid details beyond the price and Deluxe bonuses haven’t been posted by Sucker Punch yet, and the studio hasn’t shared PC or Xbox plans. For now, the focus is on the PS5 launch and final marketing push through September.
