New gameplay video for Ghost of Yotei from Sucker Punch Productions, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, focuses on firearms, showing a matchlock rifle and a flintlock pistol. The clip arrived this week and the game is due on 2nd Oct 2025 for PS5.
Firearms in focus
The short clip opens with a handgun shot, then switches to a matchlock rifle that has to be manually loaded between firings. You can see the reload animation and the weight of each shot – it’s very deliberate. Combat cuts to twin swords too, with a brutal decapitation that underlines how lethal melee can be.
Oh, the katana throw is kinda wild. The weapons shown hint that choice matters – play careful with guns, or go full-on blade mode.
