Do you remember when we first said that Ghost of Tsushima might get a multiplayer mode? Well, Sucker Punch just announced that Multiplayer Game Mode is imminent in Ghost of Tsushima, and will come as a free download for all owners this fall.

Previously, the game director has stated that Ghost of Tsushima is “mainly focused on the single-player experience, but who knows what the future holds”? Now, Sucker Punch is proud to announce that Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will come as a free update and will introduce the first-ever co-op multiplayer game mode in Ghost of Tsushima.

Even though the rumors were hard to boil, Ghost of Tsushima will get a multiplayer counterpart, expanding the already available and somewhat linear gameplay experience. If you wish to find out more about Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, make sure you check the official blog post over at PS.

  • Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will come out this fall, 2020, as a free download for Ghost of Tsushima Owners.

Below you can find the official description:

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a new cooperative multiplayer* experience inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology. Choose from one of four classes — Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin – and play with friends or via online matchmaking in a series of two-player story missions or four-player wave-based survival missions.

Below you can find the official announcement.
