After knowing the exact downtime of tomorrow’s patch 9.20, we can also reveal that the Boom Bow will receive balance adjustments, which may result in a slight nerf. The weapon was already too powerful and despite the fact it’s very rare to find, it still offered a huge advantage.
This has been confirmed by one of the community managers, which appeared in the official subreddit. In his own words:
There are balance adjustments coming in the 9.20 update. We’ll be continuing to evaluate after these changes as well.
So, this also confirms that the Boom Bow won’t face a removal, and will remain as permanent with the update coming tomorrow.
