Fortnite Winterfest 2025 started on December 18, 2025 and runs through January 5, 2026. Epic Games has loaded the event with new collabs, seasonal skins, free cabin gifts for logging in, and a handful of holiday weapons that change how matches feel for the next few weeks.
Skins and collaborations
Epic rolled out three headline collaborations and expanded existing ones. The confirmed partners include Harry Potter, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Bleach. Back to the Future also gets extra content on December 23, adding Doc Brown and a Delorean vehicle skin.
Music acts and returning characters appear too. Hatsune Miku and Sabrina Carpenter each have festive-themed skins and a new jam track. The event listings show 23 confirmed Winterfest skins as of December 19, 2025, with items appearing across the store and as event rewards.

Presents and the Winterfest Cabin
The Winterfest Cabin is back as a daily login hub. Players who log in for up to 14 days can pick one present per day. Some rewards are free cosmetics while others are shop items. The cabin is decorated with Wizarding World props, but the gifts do not contain Harry Potter items.

Players can only open one gift per day. If a day is missed, that present cannot be recovered later in the event window.
Gameplay changes
The northern half of the island is now snow-covered and multiple POIs have been dressed for the season. Presents appear across the map, but their contents come from the Fortnite OG loot pool rather than the regular drops. Two winter weapons were added: the blizzard grenade and the snowball launcher. Another seasonal gimmick is the Delorean interaction. Drive the Delorean at 88 miles per hour and a plutonium chest appears on the roof as a playful nod to Back to the Future.
A new fourth boss type called the Yule Trooper also patrols parts of the map. The Yule Trooper has an awkward movement effect that makes its footing slippery, which can lead to some funny falls if the player is not careful.
