Fortnite to Remove OG Ranked Playlist After Chapter 6 Season 3

Epic Games confirms Fortnite OG Ranked mode will be disabled at season’s end on June 7.

Fortnite players who enjoy the OG Ranked playlist should note that this game mode is being removed soon. Epic Games announced the mode will be disabled at the end of Chapter 6 Season 3, which wraps up on June 7. That means there are just a few days to play OG Ranked before it disappears.

Chapter 6, Season 3, has been highlighted by a Star Wars collaboration. The collaboration introduces skins like Emperor Palpatine and General Grievous, along with themed quests and an AI version of Darth Vader. The season will conclude with the Death Star Sabotage live event, rounding off this mini-season in style.

Despite the eventful season, OG Ranked fans have had little new content since March, and this announcement adds to the disappointing news. Epic Games did not explain why the OG Ranked playlist is ending, but it likely comes down to a lack of a strong enough player base to keep it going.

Fortnite will Disable the OG Ranked Playlist

Epic Games stated, “We will be disabling the Fortnite OG Ranked playlist at the end of the current season. Competitive events focused on Fortnite OG will still be regularly available.” So, while the playlist will be gone, players can still find competitive opportunities related to OG through special events.

If you still want that ranked competitive fix, switch to the main map’s Battle Royale Ranked or Zero Build Ranked modes instead. They remain active and supported for players seeking ranked gameplay.
