Fortnite is giving players a big, literal carrot to help test its servers ahead of the end-of-chapter spectacle. Epic Games is handing out 80,000 XP to anyone who plays the Epic Event Test playlist on November 19 and 20 at 1:40 PM ET. The reward was posted on the Fortnite Status update on X. The test is a server stress drill, not a preview of the live show. Epic says the test will not show the live event itself but will “help slam server configurations to make sure everything runs smoothly.”
Help us stress test servers for the Chapter End Event & get 80,000 XP!
📅 Thursday 11/20 & Friday 11/21 @ 1:40 PM ET.
🤝 A new ‘Epic Event Test’ playlist will appear for you to join and help us prepare for an awesome live event!

Players should see the special playlist appear in the game during the stated window. Joining the playlist and completing whatever the test requires will trigger the XP reward. The timing means many players across regions will get a chance to participate as Epic simulates the heavy load it expects for the end-of-chapter event on November 29 and the Chapter 7 launch.
The reward comes as Fortnite wraps up The Simpsons mini-season and ships the final patch before the event. For context on recent changes to the season, see the recent Update 38.00 coverage which details the Springfield map, sidekicks, and Battle Pass content that preceded this stress test. Epic is also asking players to avoid spoiling anything that leaks from the final patch. The test is focused on stability, but the usual social feeds are likely to surface fragments from today’s update and from player experimentation.
Got a take on what the end-of-chapter event will include – predictions about Chapter 7’s revive system or the rumored crossovers with Harry Potter and SpongeBob are welcome in discussion threads.
