Microsoft will include Fortnite Crew with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate starting in November, the company confirmed, as part of a broader update to Game Pass pricing and plans.
A news post from Xbox explains the monthly cost of Game Pass Ultimate will rise by $9.99. Microsoft says the subscription will now include Fortnite Crew. This separate membership normally costs $11.99 a month, which gives Game Pass Ultimate subscribers access to the Crew benefits without a separate purchase.
Xbox’s announcement notes Fortnite Crew includes every Battle Pass Epic adds to the game, such as the OG Pass, LEGO Pass, and Festival Pass, plus 1,000 V-Bucks each month. Fortnite Crew also carries the Rocket League Season Pass as part of its bundle.
The Crew inclusion starts in November, just ahead of a short mini-season that will close out Chapter 6 and is widely reported to be The Simpsons themed. Fortnite will then transition into Chapter 7 in December, and Xbox states that the Battle Pass collaborations that appear going forward will be available to Game Pass Ultimate members through this update.
I know this will matter most to regular Fortnite players who purchase the Battle Pass every season, and to anyone considering whether Game Pass Ultimate still meets their needs now that the price has increased. Please share your thoughts in the comments, and follow us on X and Bluesky.
