Epic Games confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1, launches on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The new chapter follows the Zero Hour live event on November 29 and arrives after a planned period of downtime to update the game. Epic has already started teasing Chapter 7 and its early crossovers. A tease from Fortnite’s official X account hinted at a Kill Bill collaboration among other early-season content and confirmed the November 30 date. The tease also makes clear that the chapter will follow the Zero Hour live event, scheduled for November 29 at 2 PM ET.

Start time and downtime expectations
There is no official minute-by-minute start time for Chapter 7, Season 1. Epic has not published a precise launch clock because the servers will need maintenance after the Zero Hour event. Based on the event timing and how Epic has handled past chapter changes, the downtime window should begin late on November 29 or in the small hours of November 30, then stretch for several hours.
History gives a rough sense of the likely wait. Downtime before the launch of Chapter 6 in 2024 lasted seven hours. Earlier chapter breaks have ranged widely, from 11 hours after the Big Bang event to 9 hours in 2022, 18 hours in 2021, and a record 36 hours after The End event in 2019. Given that track record, players should not plan for immediate access; a conservative earliest estimate is around 9 AM ET on November 30, though the full rollout could take longer.
Why the wait matters
Large chapters typically change maps, add new modes, and tie in crossovers. That makes the post-event maintenance longer than a routine update. Players should treat the downtime like a hard reset and be ready for the usual mix of new content plus the occasional server wobble on day one.
