Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 introduces fully pilotable X-Wing Starfighters and TIE Fighters, bringing Star Wars combat to the island. These ships come armed with blasters and offer new aerial combat opportunities for players aligned with the Resistance or the Empire.
This guide lists all known spawn points for these iconic ships and provides tips on flying them effectively to gain an advantage in battle.
All TIE Fighter locations
- Outpost Enclave (south-right corner of the map)
- Vader Samurai’s Solitude (bottom-left corner)
- South of Flooded Frogs
TIE Fighters mainly appear in Empire-controlled zones. They may spawn ready to fly or at crash sites needing repairs. Look for fuel canisters near crashed TIE Fighters to get them operational.
How to fly the TIE Fighter
TIE Fighters are fast and heavily armed. Approach and interact to enter. Use throttle controls (W key or left stick up) to take off and gain altitude. Maneuvering is responsive, and Free Look (right mouse button or L2) helps with scouting.
The ship’s blasters deal 60 damage per shot, fired with the left mouse button or R2. Press Shift or L3 to boost speed, which is helpful in dodging or avoiding enemies.
TIE Fighters can carry two players: a pilot and a passenger. They have 1,300 HP, making them durable but not invincible. Land carefully using the Land command (Q or R1) and exit with E or Square.
All X-Wing Locations
- Northeast of Resistance Base
- Outpost Enclave
- North of Brutal Boxcarts
- North of Shiny Shafts
X-Wings spawn at Resistance-controlled outposts. They usually appear reliably, but another player may have taken one if none are present.
How to fly the X-Wing
Flying an X-Wing is similar to piloting a TIE Fighter. Enter the ship and use the throttle to take off. X-Wings are slightly slower but seat four players: one pilot and three passengers. Using the Land command, you can boost speed, fire lasers with the primary weapon button, and land.
Be cautious when exiting mid-air, as X-Wing dismounts do not prevent fall damage.
