Fortnite’s Blitz Royale mode is sticking around for another month, and it’s bringing a new map that’s already got players talking. Epic Games confirmed that the popular Chapter 4: Season 2 Mega City will make its way into the mode, promising a fresh playground for the 32-player battles.
The Mega City map feels like a neon-lit, futuristic Tokyo, think towering skyscrapers, bright signs, and grind rails to zip around on. It’s a lively change of pace from the usual Fortnite maps, and the update will include new loot drops plus some surprise collaborations. We don’t have the full details yet, but the mode’s extension means more chances to test out this flashy new arena.
Fortnite leaker HYPEX hinted that the upcoming collaborations might feature some big names from anime and gaming worlds, Dragon Ball, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Mortal Kombat could all be on the table. That’s a pretty cool mix if it pans out. Still, take those leaks with a grain of salt since Epic hasn’t confirmed anything officially yet.

For those new to Blitz Royale, here’s a quick rundown: it’s a smaller-scale mode introduced last month where 32 players start with random Medallions and distinct weapons. Your goal is to level up by knocking out opponents and surviving the storm. Leveling up grants access to better weapons and power-ups. Golden Chests and Supply Drops scattered across the map add some extra excitement and rewards.
While Fortnite is grabbing the spotlight, Call of Duty might be borrowing some ideas, as dataminers spotted a potential footstep audio indicator similar to Fortnite’s. Also, a cheater in Fortnite was recently ordered to pay Epic Games a hefty $175,000 fine, showing that cheating won’t fly.
