Epic Games announced a Fortnite crossover with South Park called Born in Chaos that goes live on January 9, 2026 and runs through February 5, 2026.
The event adds playable skins for Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, and Butters, each wearing character-specific suits in the store. Towelie appears as a Sidekick. Players can also visit a new Cartmanland point of interest that includes nods to the franchise, including a reference to South Park: The Stick of Truth.
Born in Chaos introduces a temporary playlist called Quints, which lets players queue in groups of five. Quints will be available only for the duration of the event, from January 9 to February 5. Leaked assets and screenshots hinted at this crossover before the official reveal, those files were part of the chatter on January 7 and helped sketch out the skins and event features ahead of launch. Fortnite’s announcement arrived with an animated trailer that shows how the South Park characters end up in Fortnite’s world and teases Cartmanland and other event content.
