Square Enix will bring Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade to Nintendo Switch 2 in winter 2025. This first instalment of the Remake trilogy will run at a stable 30 frames per second on the new hardware, according to an announcement from the game’s official X account and developer comments.

If you’ve been following coverage, this may not surprise you. Final Fantasy 7 Remake director Naoki Hamaguchi said the Nintendo Switch 2 “would have enough power to run the FINAL FANTASY VII remake series” back in May 2025.

The official Final Fantasy 7 X account announced Intergrade’s Switch 2 debut on August 27.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade launches this winter on Nintendo Switch 2, running at a stable 30 frames per second offering smooth performance and crisp visuals.

The post states that Intergrade will run at a steady 30 frames per second, with a focus on maintaining steady performance and delivering clear visuals. Oh, and this looks like the first of two ports that will make their way back to Nintendo hardware – who wouldn’t be curious to see how the battle system plays on Switch 2?

We’re hanging out on X and Bluesky – come say hi.
