With Google Stadia shutting down all of its first-party developers, it still aims to support the platform with more third-party games arriving. EA confirmed that they’d bring FIFA 21 to the Stadia at some point, and now it’s finally happening.

In a recent press release, EA announced that FIFA 21 would be released on the Stadia on March 17th. This is big news for Stadia fans, as more and more triple-A developers have started to recognize this underrated platform. EA Vice President DJ Jackson stated the following:

Our vision is to create the most authentic, social and connected football experience by bringing our games to more devices, more countries and more fans around the world… …EA SPORTS continues to rapidly transform how fans consume sport, evolving football from a passive and scheduled experience to an interactive one, accessible at any time. This is the world’s game, and EA SPORTS is doing everything we can to further connect players, athletes, clubs and leagues and grow the love of football, globally.

EA also announced that they’d renewed their UEFA license, meaning that they’ll continue to add UEFA-type modes in their upcoming games, like the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League.

FIFA 21 is currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, while the Nintendo Switch has its own Legacy Edition.
