The Fantastic Four are stormin’ into the Item Shop on July 25, just as their new movie, Fantastic Four: First Steps, hits theaters worldwide. Not exactly a subtle move, but hey, who’s complaining when you get Marvel’s first family in the game?
Epic Games and Marvel have been tight for a while now, especially after last year’s Absolute Doom season. However, the Fantastic Four were oddly missing from the big showdown with Doctor Doom. That absence is about to end with skins for each member arriving this week.
What’s Included?
- Johnny Storm comes with a built-in “Flame On!” emote that lets you switch to his Human Torch alt style. Flame on, baby!
- Ben Grimm has an alt style for The Thing, so you can clobber your foes in style.
- Reed Richards brings his bendy Fantastic Fists as a pickaxe and a Fantastic Calculations emote.
- Susan Storm sports a costume with a Psionic Orbs pickaxe.
Plus, there’s a neat way to unlock these skins early. The Fantastic Four Cup on July 23 lets players get first dibs. Top squads in your region snag prizes, and if you survive 60 and 120 cumulative minutes, you unlock the “It’s Clobberin’ Time” spray and “Flame On” emoticon respectively. Honestly, I can’t believe they’re droppin’ the emotes that fast!
