Playground Games’ reboot of Fable is reportedly being discussed for Nintendo’s next console. Jez Corden wrote that a Switch 2 release “isn’t 100% definite for now, but under consideration for the future,” while also noting the port is not in active development. The claim appears on Jez Corden’s post on X, where he added that the decision is currently a matter of logistics and that a port is possible down the line.
Was told Fable for Nintendo Switch 2 isn't 100% definite for now, but under consideration for the future.

The game will launch on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5 on day one. Playground Games and Microsoft gave a release window during Developer_Direct, and the title is expected in autumn 2026 on those platforms, according to reporting on the release schedule.
Playground Games has described the reboot around three core pillars: Freedom, Fairytale, and Britishness. The studio also said its work on the Horizon franchise informed its approach to building an open world and systems for the new Fable. The project’s reputation-based morality system, which ties moral judgment to what other characters witness and remember, is part of that vision.
While Corden framed the Switch 2 option as under consideration rather than final, his update leaves open the possibility of a future port once logistics and performance targets are resolved. For now, development focus and the announced platforms remain Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
