EA has recently published detailed PC requirements for F1 25, highlighting what you’ll need to run the game at 8K resolution and with path tracing enabled. These new specs give a clearer picture of the hardware demands for playing at ultra settings and pushing graphical boundaries.
For those eager to play at 4K with 60 FPS on Ultra settings, the game requires an Intel Core i5-10600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor with 16GB of RAM. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 5080, or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT X is required on the graphics side. Ray tracing is supported at this level, but you’ll want to use DLSS or FSR in Quality Mode to keep performance smooth.
The requirements for 8K gaming become more demanding. EA recommends an Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600X with 32GB of RAM. For graphics cards, only NVIDIA’s RTX 4090 or the upcoming RTX 5090 can deliver a playable experience at this resolution. Enabling DLSS Balanced Mode and Frame Generation is necessary to hit 60FPS.
Path tracing, which offers a more realistic lighting model, also requires a solid setup. For 1080p at Ultra Max settings with 60FPS, the specs include an Intel Core i5-12600K or AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 32GB RAM, and either an NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 5080, or AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX.
EA plans to release F1 25 on May 30th, and the game will feature Denuvo anti-tamper technology.
F1 25 8K & Path Tracing PC Requirements
- 4K/60FPS Ultra Settings: Intel Core i5-10600K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti / RTX 5080 / AMD RX 7900XTX, DLSS or FSR Quality Mode for ray tracing
- 8K Gaming: Intel Core i5-12600K / AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 4090 or RTX 5090, DLSS Balanced Mode + Frame Gen for 60FPS
- Path Tracing 1080p/Ultra Max/60FPS: Intel Core i5-12600K / AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, 32GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER / RTX 5080 / AMD RX 7900XTX
It’s interesting to see official 8K specs from a publisher, which suggests that pushing graphical fidelity to this extreme is becoming more mainstream. If you’ve been curious about what hardware you’d need to experience F1 25 at these settings, this breakdown should help you plan your build or upgrade.
