Electronic Arts has announced that F1 23, the latest entry in the Codemasters-developed racing series, will be released on June 16, 2023. The game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
The return of the Braking Point story mode, which debuted in F1 2021, is a significant highlight of this year’s series entry. The mode follows former rivals Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler, now teammates at the new fictitious Konnersport Racing Team, competing against real-world F1 teams and drivers.
F1 23 will feature every team, driver, and circuit from the 2023 season, including the new Las Vegas Grand Prix. As part of a recently announced partnership with Max Verstappen, the back-to-back and reigning Formula 1 world champion will grace the cover of the digital-only F1 23 Champions Edition.
The game will also feature two new circuits: the Las Vegas Street Circuit in Nevada, USA, and the Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar. Legacy tracks, including Circuit Paul Ricard (France), Shanghai International Circuit (China), and the Algarve International Circuit (Portugal), will be available at launch for use in various game modes.
Vehicle handling in F1 23 has been significantly improved with new vehicle physics, better traction, and more balanced aerodynamics and tire grip. The Precision Drive™ controller technology will provide greater control for pad players during crucial race moments.
Following community feedback, F1 23 will include several highly-requested features, such as the return of red flags after nine years and a new 35% race distance. A new color encoding system has also been implemented to offer a more realistic visual experience. Are you excited?
