Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Tainan, Taiwan runs February 20, 2026 through February 22, 2026, with daily event hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time. One-day tickets grant access to exclusive spawns, raids, research, and citywide bonuses during the attendee’s ticketed day.
New and first-time Pokémon
Shiny Diancie will appear in Pokémon GO for the first time; ticket holders in Tainan receive Masterwork Research that leads to Shiny Diancie. Masterwork Research does not expire and is intended to be completed over time. That same Masterwork Research will be included with Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global tickets; attendees who go to both events can complete the Research only once and will receive extra event-themed rewards for attending both.
For the first time in Pokémon GO, Shiny Klefki, Shiny Hawlucha, and Shiny Honedge will be available to encounter. Honedge will appear in one-star Raids during the event, and Klefki and Hawlucha will hatch from 10 km Eggs with an increased chance to hatch shiny Klefki and shiny Hawlucha for attendees.
Raids and Super Mega Raids
Five-star raids during the event will feature Xerneas and Yveltal. One-star raids will include Honedge.
Pokémon GO is debuting Super Mega Raids at GO Tour Kalos – Tainan. Super Mega Raids during the event will include Mega Victreebel and Mega Malamar. Trainers can bring those Pokémon to the new Super Max Level as soon as they debut; raiding them is the way to collect plenty of Mega Energy. Super Mega Raid bonuses during Kalos Tour include an increased chance of encountering shiny Pokémon from Super Mega Raids and a higher likelihood that Pokémon caught from Super Mega Raids have stronger Attack, HP, and Defense stats.
Standard Mega Raids available during the daytime event include Mega Gyarados, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Absol, and Mega Lucario.
Mega Night: a ticketed evening add-on
For the first time at a GO Tour in-person event, a night-time add-on called Mega Night is available as a paid extra for attendees. Mega Night takes place after the main daytime event at Tainan Metropolitan Park from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on February 20, 21 and 22, 2026. The Mega Night add-on price at Tainan is NT$529.
Mega Night features special Mega Raids and unique wild spawns. Mega Raids scheduled for Mega Night include:
- Mega X Charizard
- Mega Ampharos
- Mega Salamence
- Mega Sceptile
- Mega Altaria
- Mega Garchomp
Mega Night wild spawns listed for the evening include Charmander, Mareep, Treecko, Swablu, Bagon, Skrelp, Gible, and Noibat. Trainers may also encounter rarer spawns such as Charizard, Garchomp, Carbink, Tyrunt, and Goomy.
Mega Night timed research will be offered for each featured Mega Raid; those Timed Research tasks are short and available for a limited window. Mega Night bonuses include an additional 5,000 XP from completed raids, 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, and a chance to obtain Mega Energy from spinning PokéStops and Photo Discs at Gyms.
Habitats and routes
Event-themed Pokémon will appear across three distinct real-world habitats in Tainan. When purchasing a ticket, trainers choose a habitat to start in but will be able to explore all three during the day. A venue map with habitat locations will be shared closer to the event. Note: no Routes will be accessible at Tainan Metropolitan Park.
Central Village
Central Village spawns include Eevee, Chespin, Fletchling, White Flower Flabébé, Orange Flower Flabébé, Skiddo, Natural Form Furfrou, Spritzee, Swirlix, Helioptile, Dedenne, Noibat, and Pikachu wearing Calem’s hat or Serena’s hat (with a chance for Shiny Pikachu).

Mountain Manor spawns include Eevee, Fennekin, Litleo, White Flower Flabébé, Orange Flower Flabébé, Pancham, Natural Form Furfrou, Espurr, Carbink, Phantump, Pumpkaboo, Noibat, Bergmite, and the two hat-wearing Pikachu variants.

Outside Tainan Metropolitan Park, trainers playing in the city (including those with the Citywide Gameplay add-on) can find Pokémon from all habitats except White Flower Flabébé, Orange Flower Flabébé, and Natural Form Furfrou.
Routes: White Flower Flabébé, Orange Flower Flabébé, and Blue Flower Flabébé will appear more frequently on Routes throughout the city during the event. Trainers can collect Zygarde Cells and can encounter Mateo at the end of up to 25 Routes per day.
Incense encounters and Snapshot
During event hours, Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will attract Unown (letters A, Z, X, and Y) and the two Calem/Serena hat Pikachu variants. Taking GO Snapshot photos during the event may trigger a surprise visit from costumed Pikachu; ticket holders can receive up to 12 event-themed GO Snapshot encounters per ticketed event day (including Citywide Gameplay add-on days).
Field Research and Special Research
Ticket-holding trainers have a boosted chance to receive Field Research that rewards encounters with event Pokémon. Examples of Field Research tasks and rewards include:
- Power up a Pokémon 6 times → Pikachu wearing Calem’s hat or Pikachu wearing Serena’s hat
- Win a Raid → Bellsprout encounter
- Explore 1 km → Furfrou encounter
- Spin 6 different PokéStops or Gyms → Orange Flabébé or Blue Flabébé encounter
- Power up Grass or Poison-type Pokémon 6 times → Inkay or Bellsprout (listed twice in the event table)
Tainan ticket holders will be able to access an exclusive Special Research story during their ticketed session at Tainan Metropolitan Park; more details will be announced later. Trainers who also purchase the global event ticket will receive a separate Special Research line to complete during Pokémon GO Tour: Kalos – Global.
GO Tour 2026: A Balancing Act (Special Research flow)
The Special Research includes a branching choice mechanic (X Version or Y Version) that affects Unown and Legendary rewards. Key tasks and rewards from the A Balancing Act line include:
- Catch 20 Kalos-region Pokémon → Lucario encounter
- Spin 26 different PokéStops or Gyms → 200 Lucario Mega Energy
- Mega evolve a Pokémon → 6 Lucario Candy
Later in the series, selected version determines Unown reward (X version gives Unown X, Y version gives Unown Y) and the Legendary encounter (X version Xerneas, Y version Yveltal). The Special Research rewards listed include stardust, XP, Candy and Candy XL amounts tied to the Legendary encounters.
Timed Research and Furfrou trims
Ticket holders will gain access to a new Timed Research experience featuring Furfrou. To progress, trainers must spin special Furfrou-themed PokéStops placed around Tainan Metropolitan Park. Being near these stops will also let trainers change Furfrou into matching trims during the event – a chance to collect new trims that are otherwise limited.
New Furfrou trims in Tainan
- Star Furfrou
- Debutante Furfrou
- La Reine Furfrou
- Kabuki Furfrou
- Pharaoh Furfrou
- Heart Furfrou
How to change a Furfrou trim: open Furfrou in storage, tap Change Form to view available trims, select the preferred trim. Changing trims costs 25 Furfrou Candy and 10,000 Stardust per change.
Please note: Timed Research expires – all tasks and rewards must be completed and claimed before 5:00 PM local time on the ticketed event day at the venue.
Egg hatches
Egg pools during the event are specified per distance:
- 2 km Eggs: Larvitar, Bagon, Beldum, Gible
- 5 km Eggs: White, Orange, Yellow, Red, and Blue Flabébé variants
- 10 km Eggs: Kangaskhan, Heracross, Hawlucha, Klefki
Timed and timed-in-event rewards
Timed research and event-limited reward counts appear throughout the Special Research and Timed Research tables. Example reward totals listed in the Special Research include 2026× Stardust and 2026× XP for specific tasks tied to the Legendary encounter stage.
Citywide Gameplay and on-site experience
Tainan Metropolitan Park will serve as the event hub, with larger-than-life Kalos-inspired habitats, photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and team lounges. Citywide Gameplay extends event spawns and experiences across the city for trainers who purchase Citywide add-ons; note that the Tainan Metropolitan Park experience (the Special Research, Timed Research, and Masterwork Research) is exclusive to each trainer’s primary event day and will be available only once per attendee.
