Euro Truck Simulator 2 just got a fresh look at its upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC with a second gameplay preview posted on Steam. The new clip follows a route from the northern seaside town of Andenes down Fv 82, Rv 85, and the E10 to Svolvær, putting fjord-side roads and coastal scenery front and center.
The preview leans into what fans have been asking for: long, scenic routes that feel like actual hauling rather than corridor driving. The footage hangs on tight turns, cliffside guardrails, and sweeping coastal views, and you can see how weather and road geometry could affect heavy loads and overtaking on narrow stretches. For players who like their deliveries with a side of postcard views, this is the part of the map that delivers that vibe.
There are a few small touches visible in the clip that will matter to players: winding mountain passes, tight harborside lanes, and the occasional long span of open road where heavy trailers will need measured braking. These are the kinds of roads that reward patience and planning; they also make a case for careful route selection when taking large contracts through the region.
If you missed our earlier writeups, read the hands-on tease that looked at the fjords and mountain roads, or our overview that introduces what Nordic Horizons aims to add to the map. Both pieces add context about the new areas and how they fit into ETS2’s broader map expansions.
