Battlestate Games’ COO, Nikita Buyanov, revealed during Twitch Con 2024 that Escape From Tarkov will get a new Scav DLC. In this DLC players will be able to mend and upgrade their Scav character and sometimes even use it as a Boss which can control its guards, etc.
I’ve personally heard about the Scav rumors getting some improved gameplay, allowing players to jump in a raid a lot more than they do now, upgrade their character, and use it somewhat as a main character. If you ask me, I do not know how this would turn out, but it sounds like a way to add more variations to the game.
As Nikita Said: “Basically, it will be an expanded game mode specifically to play your Scav, with tasks with special missions with upgrading your scav, with ability to play as boss to control your guards, and this DLC we call Scav Life“.

Furthermore, he said that there will be a special Sniper DLC too, which is going to be related to… I guess snipers and new sniper rifles.
