It seems that Escape From Tarkov’s PMCs will get an opportunity to rest by taking a nap in their hideout. Today, Battlestate Games’ COO has shared an animation of a PMC scratching his backside while asleep. While it’s unsure where this animation will fit, it could be very well connected to the Hideout – Rest Space, which will probably dispatch some recovery stats after using the mechanic.
This proves to us that after getting the gym feature where you can train your PMC and increase his strength, multiple additions to the hideout profile are on their way. As the title claims, the animation has been shared on Nikita’s official Twitter profile. Fans of the shooter didn’t miss the chance to comment and turn a mockery out of it.

In hindsight, this animation could be a part of something much bigger. We’ve all talked about the prospect of Escape From Tarkov going open-world in the future. Even if years away, seeing Battlestate Games implementing such small animations to the game could very well be an indicator of such an event.
An open-world game of the same caliber as DayZ would be huge for this game, even though the game’s current state is far from such an extension.
