Escape From Tarkov has received a new update that will make the players a tiny bit happier. Battlestate Games pushed another set of live balancing tweaks to Escape from Tarkov, continuing the gradual rollback of the most punishing Hardcore-wipe rules. Today’s mini-patch does two big things: restores the full LL4 assortments for Mechanic and Ragman, and lets players carry currency in the secure container again, undoing one of the wipe’s most controversial restrictions that blocked roubles/euros/USD from pouches.
What changed
- Mechanic LL4: full item range restored. End-tier weapon builds, mods, and specialty pieces come back to in-raid progression rather than marketplace scrounging.
- Ragman LL4: full item range restored. Late-game rigs, armors, and apparel are re-enabled directly at the trader.
- Money in secure container: re-enabled. You can bring roubles/euros/USD safely for V-EX extracts, BTR/transit hops, and mid-raid buys without risking it all on death, a reversal of the Hardcore wipe rule.
BSG has been announcing these bite-sized balancing reversals via social posts rather than long site patch notes; recent examples included restoring Skier LL4, boosting flea slots, and reopening LL4s elsewhere. Today’s change extends that pattern to Mechanic and Ragman, as well as the currency-in-pouch toggle.
